What documents are required to open a trading account?

What you are required to submit will depend on where you live and the account you want but generally, we require:

1 – Proof of Identity.

For the proof of identification, we only accept a Government Issued document that contains a photo that can be either a Passport, National Identity Card, or Driver’s License.

Please make sure that the details of the ID are clear, in the original color, showing your full name (not abbreviation) and date of birth. The document cannot be expired, and all four corners of the document should be visible. Please make sure to provide us with the front and back copies of the document.

2- Proof of address

Make sure to upload a valid document issued within the last 3 months bearing your name and current residential address.

Accepted Proof of Address (POA) can be:

- Bank statement
- A utility bill (gas, water, heating, electricity)
- Tax document
- A confirmation from a solicitor or any other government-issued document.

All four corners of the document should be visible. Screenshots are not acceptable; the document must be a copy of the original file. Mobile/cell phone bills and credit card statements are not accepted. Please note the Proof of Address document must show your confirmed residential address.
Kindly make sure when completing your application to use an address that can be verified by your supporting documentation. If you cannot provide a matching proof of address on your application, we will not be able to open the account.

If we need you to provide other documents, you will be contacted with the request. They can be:

Certification - Certification must be undertaken by one of the following: Qualified Lawyer, Notary Public, or Bank Manager. The certifier must provide full contact details, date, and stamp, and sign the document. Certification must be clear and legible. The certifier must also translate documentation where necessary. The certification stamp should not be cropped or digital.

Selfie with the document - If we need you to provide a selfie with the document, please note: Please make sure your fingers are not covering any text. ID is clear and readable. Selfie is not modified by any photo editing software. Do not wear glasses, headphones, or wireless hands-free devices, a hat, or a head covering. If you wear a hat or head covering for religious or medical purposes, please make sure that your hat or head covering does not cast shadows on your face.

Limited Power of Attorney - If you want to enable someone else to trade on your account, you (the rightful owner of the account) will need to complete and sign a Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA) document. By doing so you will authorize the person to trade on your behalf. They will not be permitted to make deposits and withdrawals. If it is a corporate, trust, or superannuation application, you will be requested to provide additional supporting documents during the application process.
