What is Margin?

Margin is used in Forex trading to allow a trader to take positions of a higher value than the amount of funds in their trading account. There are twol different kinds of margin, Initial Margin and Variation Margin. Initial Margin is the minimum amount you need to have in your account in order to open a position Variation Margin is based on the current value of all open positions
